CFA
Newsletter

On January 18,
2011, the first
issue of a CFA
Newsletter was
emailed. This
Newsletter will be
mailed every month
and the intended
audience, unlike
our own Regional
Newsletter, is
CFA-wide. It has
news of interest
to all exhibitors,
club members, show
committees,
judges, clerks,
etc. If you have
not seen a copy,
check it out.
If you like it,
subscribe. There
is a blue box on
the right side
of the CFA
website's home
page where you can
subscribe to the
CFA Newsletter.
New CFA
Website
The new website
rolled out on
December 20, 2011.
While there were a
number of
glitches, many
have been resolved
and others will
soon be fixed.
President Jerry
Hamza has just
moved oversight of
the website from
the IT Committee
to the
Publications
Committee chaired
by Mark Hannon.
Mark is pulling
together some
talent from around
CFA and their
mission is to
improve the
navigation of the
site, so it is
easier to move
around the site,
and to improve the
overall look of
the site. If
you have ideas or
comments, drop
them in the
Suggestion Box
near the top of
the new site.
The Online
Show Calendar

Notice that
calendar on the
home page of the
CFA website?
One of its
purposes is to
provide the
general public
with information
about our shows.
Right now most of
the shows listed
only have the
judges and entry
clerk.
That's not what
potential
spectators are
seeking.
They want to know
the show hours,
admission fees,
whether there is
free parking or
what the parking
costs are, the
location of the
show, any special
attractions such
as Agility, an
Education Ring,
etc. and perhaps
even a link to a
Discount Coupon.
Use the CFA
website to help
your show increase
its gate. We will
be happy to add
your show's
spectator
information to the
Show Calendar.
Sue Beuerlein has
accepted the task
of collecting this
information so
email her with
information about
your show that
would be of
interest to
potential
spectators.
Regional
Exhibitor of the
Year

I have appointed
Jacqui Bennett to
serve as chair of
a new committee.
This
committee will
develop criteria,
create a form to
be used for
nominations,
receive the
nominations, and
submit a
recommendation to
the Regional
Director each year
for the selection
of our Regional
Exhibitor of the
Year. If you
are interested in
serving on this
committee, please
contact
Jacqui.
